History

Mr Jacques Martin, owner, is originally from the Saguenay region with deep roots in the Maritimes. He worked as a fisherman in the Gaspe area for ten years before acquiring a small fish market on Cowie St. in Granby. In the beginning he himself supplied his business with cod, halibut, mackerel and sole. Having too much for his own business he started the distribution to the grocery stores and restaurants in the area. Soon after things snowballed with the acquisition of a warehouse, opening of additional fish markets and finally the construction of a transformation plant. He was able to build his reputation without prejudice, recognized for his expertise, straightforwardness throughout the industry, references to this effect are far from lacking. He now travels the world in search of quality supplies and new products to offer his customers but he remains grounded all the while accessible to even the smallest client.
